Celebrating Safer Internet Day 2014
On 11 February 2014, MovieStarPlanet is celebrating Safer Internet Day together with our users and the global online community. Safer Internet Day (SID) takes place annually in February and its goal is to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology, especially among children and young people. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Let’s create a better internet together.’
[row][col-sm-6] Promoting SID 2014 inside the game
The events for SID 2014 will be organized and produced within the MovieStarPlanet game space. We will be holding events within the online community relating to safer internet issues and creating a better internet together. Children are encouraged take part in the theme in order to update their knowledge or gain new insights about online safety, so that they can feel confident about navigating the internet in a more informed and safe manner. MovieStarPlanet moderators will wear special SID 2014 t-shirts with the slogan ‘Let’s create a better internet together’ within the game. The t-shirts will be visible on their avatars when they are online to make them easily identifiable. Additionally, an exclusive in game MovieStarPlanet item was made available on the 31st January to mark SID 2014. Top all of the efforts up, special pop ups with messages about SID 2014 will appear within the game, when users log on.

Safety above all
MovieStarPlanet is passionate about defending everyone’s right to express their views openly and freely in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. MovieStarPlanet is a proud supporter of SID 2014’s values and we are excited to take part in such an important online safety landmark.
